A catch-all e-mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to non-existent email addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an outdated email address or has made a typo. The negative aspect of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of unsolicited email messages, but this problem can be resolved using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also essential to know that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without any difficulty if you have a cloud hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is full-featured, yet exceptionally simple to work with, and it will allow you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with just a couple of clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you’ve got will be enumerated alphabetically in this section and to the right of each one of them you’ll see a small "Catch-all" logo. Clicking it once will activate the feature, clicking it for a second time will deactivate it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you already have a different one with this option activated or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all feature can be enabled without difficulty if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up with the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll see a small icon handily situated right next to each of them. With only one click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and activate this option through the context menu that will show up. If any of the prerequisites for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will inform you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
